I was born in England in 1982 and quickly became accustomed to travel, being the son of a father in the military. In 1987 we emigrated to Australia where i grew up and received my formal education. I wanted to pursue a career that would fuel my desire for exploration, choosing geology where I was fortunate to receive a scholarship to South Africa for my final year, and graduated with an honours degree.
My working career began with Rio Tinto at the Argyle Diamond Mine as an underground geologist. It did not take long for my thirst for exploration to kick in, departing the large multi-national company to commence my career in junior exploration. Within only a few years I found myself traveling to Namibia, Colombia, Greenland, Tanzania and elsewhere, exploring for new mineral deposits.
There are many people to thank for giving me the opportunity and exposure to all facets of the business at a young age. This foundation enabled me to have the skillset required to transition to the corporate world and co-found my own businesses, including Helium One Global Ltd (the world’s first dedicated helium exploration company), Longland Resources Ltd (nickel, copper and palladium exploration in Greenland), and now Pulsar Helium Inc (that has the Topaz helium project in the USA, one of the highest known helium occurrences having been drilled and flowed 10.5% helium).
